Title: Lucky Star
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group (Puffin Books)
Storyline: When Mouse, a boy that does graffiti and lives on Eden Estate, and Cat, a girl who's very rich and pretty and goes to a posh school, meet, they fall in love with each other. But everyone has secrets. And can they're relationship last when they eventually have no choice but to spill the beans?
My review: Two words. AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!! One of the best stories by Cassidy so far. Now I know this book has inspired quite a lot of girls AND boys to start reading. (Although not many boys but some at least.
Now for the word of the day: Kerfluffle (KER-FLUFF-EL) Kerfluffle means Extra Fluffy or Fluff Attack!
Please do not use these words in writing tasks or any activity at school or anywhere else apart from home or at a friends house as your teachers might not appreciate it. I promise! These words are made up and are for fun uses ONLY!
Book of the week: Dizzy! With so many people that have read Dizzy, Im surprised it's not been turned into a TV series or/and a movie! :)

Indigo Blue
Title: Indigo Blue
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group (Puffin Books)
Storyline: When Indigo's mum wants to move suddenly without Max, Indigo is puzzled. That is until she notices that Mum has some new bruises on my face and around her body that wasnt there the night before. And will Jo accept that Indigo doesnt need to follow her around everywhere?
My Review: The 1st Cathy Cassidy book I've ever read. This was the book that made me read the rest of the Cathy Cassidy collection. Yes, this book is amazing, exciting and easy to imagine, it still made me shiver with fright and almost made me cry. But it isnt as upsetting as some of the other Cathy books. At least thats one thing.

Scarlett
Title: Scarlett
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group (Puffin Books)
Storyline: Scarlett's mum has had enough of Scarlett being forever naughty and having to send her to many different schools. Scarlett's being sent off to her dad. To Ireland. When Scarlett gets there, she is determined to be as difficult as possible so she could be sent off back to her mum. That is until she meets local boy Kian....
My Review: One of my favourite books by Cathy Cassidy. It has a really good mystery in it, with Kian who keeps disappearing. Also, her dad has 3 new members of his family. Get ready! And beware, some bits may be a bit shocking and may be a bit distressing!

Sundae Girl
Title: Sundae Girl
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group (Puffin Books)
Storyline: Jude's family is very bizarre. Her mum's an alcoholic and her dad thinks he's Elvis Presley. All Jude wants is a normal life. But that is very hard to get with a non normal family. Nothing seems to be very good in her life. Apart from the boy that could be her knight in shining armour... on rollerblades.
My review: If you try to read this book... BE PREPARED! It is quite upsetting 3/4 of the way through the book. Very unexpected when I first read it. Maybe not for girls that could be very sensitive. But overall Cathy's done good with another brilliant success!

Dizzy
Title: Dizzy
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group (Puffin Books)
Storyline: Dizzy is now 12. She is having a great birthday so far, with her friends buying her lots of gifts and as she walks home she knows she is going to have a great end to her birthday with pizza and total control of the TV remote. But she walks in to discover her mum standing there, the mum that disappeared into thin air when Dizzy was little and now her mum wants Dizzy to go with her...
My review: A great classic from Cathy Cassidy that is very popular. Simple yet imaginative, I cannot ever put the book down. Nor can many other people. :) Good one Cassidy!
Word of the day: Eggfagno! (EGG-FA-NO) Eggfagno means Very much or Shining Star.

Summer's Dream
Title: Summer's Dream
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group ( Puffin Books)
Storyline: Summer, Skye's twin, has always dreamt of becoming a ballerina and one day running her own dance school. And when she gets an oppotunity to win a place at a ballet boarding school she wants it so badly, it takes over her life. It's the summer holidays but she has no time for relaxation and beach parties. The practicing for the audition becomes an obsession and she gets less and less time to eat. And anyway, she 'is not slim enough' says Summer herself...
My Review: Summer's Dream is a great book. it just starts off a little slow. I had passed the first couple of chapters slowly and I was tempted to put the book down. But I knew Cathy wasnt the one to make books boring. So I read on. It got more interesting throughout the book. I love it that most of the book is based on Summer's anorexia. Im sure it will help a lot of girls!

Marshmallow Skye
Title: Marshmallow Skye
Author: Cathy Cassidy
Publisher: The Penguin Group ( Puffin Books)
Storyline: Skye has a identical twin. They've done everything together since they can remember. But lately, Skye thinks that everyone likes her twin, Summer, better. And when the class clown admits he likes Summer, not Skye, it has got to hurt. Skye also feels she has to unravel the mystery of her great great aunt Clara Travers. And by the way Skye might just be falling for a ghost boy
My Review: This is the second Cathy Cassidy book I ever read and I instantly loved it. I mean chocolate, history, jealousy and romance all in one book. How much more spoilt can you get? Its quite shockiing at one point and I felt like screaming at Summer another point but it has a very satisfying ending. A lovely book for girls aged 10 to 15.
